How many boxes will I need?

Let Eric's Removals visit your home and work that out for you!

We will estimate your requirements and the best thing is that you won't be charged for any boxes you don't use.

Should I "De- Clutter" when moving to a smaller home?

Moving is a great time to "clean out" all that stuff you really don't need!

There is nothing worse than arriving at your new home and finding all that additional stuff doesn't fit!

If you don't use it... don't move it!

How long will the move take?

The reality is that this depends on how much needs to be moved and what the access at the uplift and delivery point is like.

We will always discuss accessibility with you, as we understand that time is of the utmost importance for everyone involved.

The best way to avoid problems on moving day is to allow Eric’s Removals the opportunity to inspect your home prior to the removal that way you can be assured you’re being quoted accurately as well.

Do I need to box everything up?

Our advice would be to box as much as possible.

Not only does this protect your belongings, packing a removal truck is a bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle! If all the pieces are square the puzzle is easy to do and therefore the move will be faster and smoother.

If you need assistance in packing and boxing things up, you may wish to consider a packing and unpacking service to free up your time to focus on more important things.

Should I empty all the draws in my furniture that has them?

Items in draws tend to make the furniture heavy and of course sometimes items need to be tilted to get through doors.

If items are left in draws they tend to make the draws fly open and can damage walls and doors.

Our advice is to always empty the draws where possible.

What happens if it rains on the day of my move?

While we pride ourselves on providing good quality service and doing a good job for our customers, we can't control the weather!

Rest assured, that at Eric’s Removals we work come rain, hail or shine and can provide protective cover for most items to keep the water out.

Will you deliver my boxes and collect after we have unpacked?

Subject to location, for a confirmed move, Eric's Removals will deliver and collect at no additional charge.

Why use an AFRA member?

AFRA is an official body of removals experts that helps regulate the removals industry. AFRA is consulted by Government departments before they make decisions about the industry.

AFRA accredits only those removalists that have the necessary equipment, vehicles, premises and staff training needed to complete a professional move.

All AFRA members carry Public Liability Insurance and are authorised to provide Transit Insurance for all goods and effects being moved.

Eric’s Removals is proudly an AFRA Accredited Removalist, and that means you and belongings will be treated with the highest quality of personal service and can be assured that we meet the industry standards in all areas of removals.
